Let me tell you about the week I had…
This past week I found myself needing an extra push. I just wasn’t feeling myself last week. The thoughts weren’t flowing. I wasn’t feeling that well, and I couldn’t even formulate my thoughts to write a blog post. I was so grateful I had a guest post from Wrae Sanders for #MeMonday. If you missed the post, check it out The Reality of Living With Depression.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, my fairly new phone just suddenly stopped working the middle of the week. It froze up. I tried to restart it, but the screen went blank. I tried to perform a hard reset and that didn’t work. Then I went to Google to search for a fix ,and oh boy, it reminded me of when your sick and go search your symptoms, trying to be Dr. Google. (I know I’m not the only one who does that..LOL). You know what I’m talking about, Google has you thinking you are dying, about to lose a limb, or have to have major surgery. You go to a regular doctor and find out you have a common cold.
So while I’m searching Google, I find something called the “black screen of death”…. Dun dun dunnnnnnnnnnn (dramatic pause). Here I am, the middle of the week, with no phone. When you run your business online and rely on social media marketing, having no phone is a big inconvenience.
I called Apple support and am on the phone with them for over an hour trying to fix my phone. Nothing worked! I go to the Apple store and they had no appointments until the following week. The sales associate told me I could come back the following morning and be booked as a “walk-in”. I squeezed time into my day (before the big Nor’Easter came) and went back to the Apple Store the next day.
As I’m waiting for a technician, the sales associate asks me about hard resetting my phone. I explained to her all I went through the night before and how nothing worked. After sitting and waiting for about fifteen minutes, the associate decided to pick up my phone and try the hard reset. Wouldn’t you know the phone powered right on?
I thanked the associate and went about my day. Then later than night and all throughout the next day it snowed. The kids were off of school. I was off of work, which should have been great because I had extra time to work on my blog. But in reality, all of this just threw my plans off schedule and I had a hard time, thinking about my blog and business. I felt like I had nothing to give and needed a little push. But where was I going to find my motivation.
Then I remembered…
I had my self-love affirmation cards. Each of these cards is filled with an inspiring message to remind me of how great I am. Yes it may sound conceited, but honestly there is nothing wrong with reminding yourself of just how wonderful you are.
So I pulled out my cards and started to reading.
“I am enough.”
Surrounding myself with positivity, I switched up my mindset. After all, you get out what you put it in and I decided to fill myself with positive thoughts.
Reflecting on these affirmations, helped me switch up my thought process and quickly snap out of my funk.
Affirmations and quotes are great when you need to quickly refuel and reenergize. I love these cards so much, I have decided to offer them to you for FREE.
When you subscribe to my blog, you will get your free downloadable affirmation cards delivered right to your inbox. These postcards size cards a printable and can be cut out and displayed around your home or office. I prefer to use colorful cardstock paper, but you can use your paper of choice.
“I love me. I am worthy.”

I’m glad I bounced back quickly, and now the thoughts are flowing again. It’s Spring time. The days are longer, the sun is shining, and hopefully this cold weather will soon be a distant memory.
As always, I love to hear from you so drop a comment below.
I hope you have a great week!
Until Next Time,
