Bernice is a published author and diverse Professional with a passion for helping others. Her book “The Weight: Dealing with Yourself in the Mirror“, is a seven-step guide to help you become the best version of you.
She started writing this book in December of 2016 and finally decided to publish it in April 2018. This book has helped her get through difficult times in life as she dealt with hardships within her career path, friends, family and relationship with her partner. From the title, many would think this book is about your physical appearance and physical weight, however, this book goes beyond what you see when you look in the mirror. The Weight: Dealing with Yourself in the Mirror is about letting go of the things that can hold you back from pursuing the path God has specifically designed for you.
The Weight; Dealing with Yourself in the Mirror is a great inspirational book for everyone.
Bernice does a great job motivating the readers to get up and be your best. She takes the focus off the physical appearance and shows how we must deal with ourselves internally in order to properly “deal” with the person in the mirror. Bernice points out how it is a choice we have to actively make to see the positive and visualize our success.
With chapters titled, “Be You”, “Love Yourself First”, and “Get Real”, Bernice urges you to get right with the person looking back at you in the mirror. This book is a great, transparent look into self-development, self-esteem, and personal reflection.
If you are looking for a great, quick inspirational read, I highly recommend The Weight: Dealing with Yourself in the Mirror.
Not sure if this book is for you yet, check out this video review by The Krystol Method on Youtube. Krystol gives her honest opinion on books, provides self-care tips, and shares snippets of her life through video.
Thank you, Bernice, for sharing your book with me. This is another great tool for my audience to help us embrace the skin we are in.
