3 Things Every Mother Needs to Know and Do Now!

It is perfectly okay to put yourself first sometimes mama! You’re cleaning, cooking, dealing with tantrums, helping with homework, being a super mom. You deserve something nice and do not let anyone tell you different. Being a mother is a very overwhelming task and I know you got work to do but don’t lose yourself in the process. As mothers, we tend to care for everyone else’s needs except our own. Why is that? Because it is in our nature to care and nurture. But what about caring for ourselves? Where to even start?  Sit back, relax and read on to learn some self-care tips to get you on the right track to SELF-CARE!

1. Take care of your mental health

*** if you do not want to do anything else, go ahead but this…. IS A MUST. I REPEAT, THIS IS A MUST.***

There have been a lot of women…mothers being so stressed and/or depressed to the point they have taken their own lives. We cannot allow this to happen anymore! So please Mamas, make sure everything is right within.

  • See a therapist if need be
  • Journal your feelings
  • Meditate
  • Say positive affirmations daily (videos can be found on Youtube)
  • Have great sex (Surprised? Why? That’s how we became mothers! LOL, great stress reliever FYI)
  • Talk to someone close to you
  • Go for a nice ride to think and clear your mind
  • Cry and yell if you want to, get all those frustrations out

2. Don’t feel ashamed of spending money on yourself

  • Get your nails done
  • Try a new hairstyle
  •  Get an outfit that makes you feel sexy
  • Buy a new lipstick

3. Socialize

Social media

  • Join online Facebook groups that are in your interests
  • Go on a hot date
  • Make plans to meet up with your people
  • Try a new restaurant
